by Michael Donley
We`ve got an excellent line-up of performers this month and we are very happy to have a new sound system booming at the cafe. So take a look through the videos, links and start you summer off with some wicked Canadian indie talent.
As always, check out video from past shows and if you can't make it out to the cafe for drinks and music, catch the shows free, streamed live @ http://www.streamingcafe.net/.

Brent Tyler - June 2nd - 7pm (PST)
Brent Tyler & his ‘Big Love’ Band of Rob Vulic (Drums), Josip Vulic (Bass), & Garth Kennedy (Keys) will be hit the Streaming Cafe June 2nd. Big Acoustic Love. This is the best description of Brent Tyler's music and live performance. An aggressive acoustic style combined with lungs befit of his seven foot stature. Brent Tyler balances the soft subtlety of honest and introspective folk music with soulful and powerful pop hooks and melodies born of his childhood influences and contemporary crushes.

Adaline - June 2nd - Late Show 10pm (PST)
Beloved artist Adaline is taking her brand of ethereal and wildly hooky pop to Streaming Cafe on June 2nd @ 10 pm.  This is the first tour in support of the sophomore release Modern Romantics (Light Organ/Universal Music).   The music video for lead-off single "The Noise" had its online world premiere in Andy Warhol's iconic Interview Magazine, cracked the Top 20 on MuchMore Music, and garnered over 100,000 Youtube views in its first week.

Here`s a behind the scenes video...

The Wind Up Radio Sessions - June 9th
Wind Up Radio Sessions are a finely woven fabric that write and perform folk rock songs with charming arrangements and intimate lyrics. Original members Matt Lazenby, Marc Kiely and Dan Kiely released their debut album ‘Red Brick House’ in 2010. To much critical acclaim, the band has kept their colour vibrant, establishing themselves in their home base of Montreal and performing across Eastern and Central Canada.

The Ripperz - June 16th
Winnipeg`s The Ripperz quality as a live act and commitment to the stage is unquestionable, Their talent, passion, and laid back style pulls in new fans at each performance. The catchiness of their songs and intimacy of their lyrics lead to full blown crowd sing-alongs. Their home-style brand of rock and roll varies from folktinged ballads to upbeat rockers with an occasional hard rock scream thrown in for good measure.

The Archers - June 23rd
The five friends from Victoria creating this unique Indie-Folk/Rock sound include Ethan Caleb, Sandy Hughes, Liam McLaren, Liam Moes and Robert McMullen. They pride themselves in their ability to be multi-talented musicians, songwriters and performers. The Archers share the roles of guitar, piano, bass, drums, mandolin, banjo and multiple other percussion instruments, creating, through this trade off of instruments, an impressive and versatile sound. Audiences enjoy their fresh Folk resonance, compelling harmony, and fantastic energy.
