Adaline's new abum - produced by Hawksley Workman

Adaline graced our cyber stage earlier this year with her striking voice and songs.
This winter she packed up and planted herself in Toronto to begin work on her new album produced by established Canadian producer/performer Hawksley Workman.  I can't help but be excited not only for her but also to hear some material from this sure to be amazing album!

Adaline wrote about the recording in her myspace blog:
Hey from Toronto!

I am THRILLED to finally be able to publicly announce that I have been recording my new album this summer with the prolific Canadian artist HAWKSLEY WORKMAN as my producer.  Some of the songs are co-written with Hawksley as well. Hawksley has produced incredible albums with artists like Sarah Slean, Hey Rosetta!, Tegan and Sara, Justin Rutledge and more.
The album has a more electronic feel thanks to Swedish producer Marten Tromm who came from Stockholm to work with us!  We are almost finished the record which will be released early Spring 2011 on Light Organ/Universal Records.

Checkout her "Behind the Scenes" video of the making of her album with an interview with Hawsley and see more of her @ http://www.myspace.com/adalinesmusic

Zaac Pick- Sounds Of Summer Song Search Winner!

When watching Zaac Pick play at the Streaming Cafe back in February of this year the staff all remarked on what a solid performer and writer he was.  The impact of his music has given him the honour of being awarded the 'SHORE 104 Sounds of Summer Song Search' winner for his song "My Century".  Zaac's song was chosen the winner by judges Bruce Allen, Terry McBride & Sam Feldman and by fans who went online and voted.  Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson & Jim Cuddy from Blue Rodeo announced Zaac as the winner and presented him with the Golden Guitar.

A huge congrats goes out to Zacc Pick from all of us at SC!
